Buckingham Palace

The following were received in audience by The Queen and kissed hands upon their appointment as Her Majesty’s Ambassadors: Mr Bernhard Garside (the Republic of El Salvador), Dr Peter Tibber (the Republic of Colombia), Mr Ajay Sharma (the State of Qatar), Ms Carolyn Davidson (the Republic of Honduras, non-resident) and Mr Thomas Carter (the Republic of Guatemala).

Mrs Garside, Mrs Tibber and Mrs Sharma were also received by Her Majesty.

The Rt Hon Theresa May MP (Prime Minister and First Lord of the Treasury) had an audience of The Queen this evening.

The Duke of Edinburgh, Patron, the Britain-Australia Society, this morning received Sir Christopher Benson (Chairman, the Britain-Australia Society Education Trust).

Clarence House

The Prince of Wales this morning visited St Mary’s Hospital, Praed Street, London W2, and was received by Wing Commander Michael Dudgeon (Vice-Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London).

His Royal Highness this afternoon held a Reception at Clarence House for Nursing Times Award nominees.

The Prince of Wales later attended a Meeting held by The Prince of Wales’ International Sustainability Unit at Lancaster House, London SW1.

His Royal Highness this evening attended a Reception at Spencer House, London SW1, to celebrate the Twenty Fifth Anniversary of the revival of Everyman’s Library and was received by Mr Rupert Goodman (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London).

The Duchess of Cornwall, on behalf of The Queen, this afternoon held a Reception at Buckingham Palace for The Queen’s Commonwealth Essay Competition.

Her Royal Highness, President, the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, this evening attended a Reception at Guildhall, London EC2, to celebrate the Foundation’s Thirtieth Anniversary.

Kensington Palace

Prince Henry of Wales today visited Nottingham and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Nottinghamshire (Sir John Peace).

His Royal Highness this afternoon opened the Central Police Station, Maid Marian Way.

Prince Henry of Wales, Patron, the Royal Foundation of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry, afterwards visited the National Ice Centre, Bolero Square.

His Royal Highness, Patron, the Royal Foundation of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry, later visited a Full Effect initiative at Russell Youth Club Community Recording Studio, Lowdham Street.

Prince Henry of Wales afterwards attended a Reception in Nottingham.

The Duke of York this morning arrived at Beijing International Airport, China.

His Royal Highness, Founder, Pitch@Palace, later launched the Pitch@Palace China Club at the Rosewood Hotel, Beijing.

The Duke of York this afternoon attended a Meeting and Lunch with Mr Tian Guoli (Chairman, Bank of China) at the Head Office, 1 Fuxingmen Nei Dajie, Beijing.

His Royal Highness, Fellow, the Royal Society, afterwards attended a Meeting with Professor Bai Chunli (President, Chinese Academy of Sciences) at the University of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing.

The Duke of York this evening called upon Mr Yang Jiechi (State Councillor of the People’s Republic of China) at the Diaoyutai State Guest House, Beijing.

The Princess Royal this afternoon attended a Luncheon at Trinity House, Trinity Square, London EC3, for the Smeatonian Society of Civil Engineers.

Her Royal Highness, Honorary Fellow, the Institution of Engineering and Technology, afterwards opened a new Global Engineering Hub at 2 Savoy Place, London WC2, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London (Mr Kenneth Olisa).

The Princess Royal this evening attended a Dinner at the Farmers Club, 3 Whitehall Court, London SW1, on the occasion of the Rural Youth Trust’s Twenty Fifth Anniversary and was received by Mrs Sandra Cahill (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London).

Kensington Palace

The Duchess of Gloucester, Deputy Colonel-in-Chief, Adjutant General’s Corps, this afternoon visited Worthy Down Barracks, Gould House, Worthy Down, Winchester, Hampshire.

Her Royal Highness, President, Royal School of Needlework, and Honorary Liveryman, the Worshipful Company of Gold and Silver Wyre Drawers, later attended a Reception at Hampton Court Palace, East Molesey, Surrey, and was received by Mrs Gillian Norton (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London).

St James’s Palace

The Duke of Kent this morning presented The Queen’s Award for Enterprise: Innovation to Precision Dippings Manufacturing, Stover Trading Estate, Lawrence Drive, Yate, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Gloucestershire (Dame Janet Trotter).

His Royal Highness afterwards presented The Queen’s Award for Enterprise: International Trade to Calnet Systems, British Corner Shop, Unit B8 Backfield Farm, Wotton Road, Iron Acton.

The Duke of Kent this afternoon presented The Queen’s Award for Enterprise: International Trade to Helipebs Controls Limited, Premier Works, Sisson Road, Gloucester.

Buckingham Palace

Princess Alexandra, President, this afternoon recognised supporters of the Second Century Campaign at the British School at Rome, Via Gramsci 61, Rome, Italy.

Her Royal Highness this evening attended a Dinner given by Her Majesty’s Ambassador to the Italian Republic (Her Excellency Ms Jill Morris) at the Residence.
