Buckingham Palace

Sir Sebastian Wood was received in audience by The Queen today and kissed hands upon his appointment as Her Majesty’s Ambassador to the Federal Republic of Germany.

Lady Wood was also received by Her Majesty.

The Duke of Cambridge, on behalf of The Queen, held an Investiture at Buckingham Palace this morning.

Clarence House

The Prince of Wales this afternoon received Admiral Sir Philip Jones upon assuming the appointment of First Sea Lord and Chief of the Naval Staff.

His Royal Highness later attended a Meeting with representatives of the UK Health Alliance on Climate Change.

The Prince of Wales, Patron, later attended a Forum for The Prince’s Countryside Fund, Church House, Great Smith Street, London SW1, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London (Mr. Kenneth Olisa).

The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall this evening attended the Royal Variety Performance at the Hammersmith Apollo, Queen Caroline Street, London W6, and were received by Mr. Kevin McGrath (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London).

Kensington Palace

The Duke of Cambridge this evening attended the Giants Club Inaugural Dinner at Kensington Palace.

Buckingham Palace

The Duke of York, Past Captain, the Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrews, today held a Past Captains’ Meeting and Luncheon.

His Royal Highness this afternoon received Tan Sri Lee Kim Yew (Founder, Country Heights Group and Philanthropist).

The Duke of York received the Rt. Hon. Sir Alan Duncan MP (Minster of State for Europe and the Americas).

His Royal Highness this evening held a Reception for TechCrunch Disrupt London at St. James’ Palace.

The Earl of Wessex, Chancellor, the University of Bath, this morning visited the Department of Architecture, 4 East South, Bath, Somerset.

His Royal Highness, Chancellor, the University of Bath, this afternoon presided at Degree Congregations at the Assembly Rooms, Bennett Street, Bath, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Somerset (Mrs. Anne Maw).

The Earl of Wessex, Chancellor, the University of Bath, this evening attended an Honorary Graduate Dinner at the Holbourne Museum, Great Pulteney Street, Bath.

Buckingham Palace

The Princess Royal, Patron, Townswomen’s Guilds, this afternoon attended the Southern Annual National Carol Service in Chichester Cathedral and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of West Sussex (Mrs. Susan Pyper).

Her Royal Highness, Colonel, The Blues and Royals (Royal Horse Guards and 1st Dragoons), later received Major General Sir Edward Smyth-Osbourne (Lieutenant Colonel Commanding Headquarters Household Cavalry).

The Princess Royal, President, the Mission to Seafarers Limited, accompanied by Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, this evening attended the annual Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols in St. Michael Paternoster Royal, College Hill, London EC4, followed by a Reception at Skinners’ Hall, 8 ½ Dowgate Hill, London EC4.

Kensington Palace

The Duchess of Gloucester, Royal Colonel, 7th Battalion The Rifles, this evening attended a Carol Service in the Parish Church of St. George, Hanover Square, London W1, and was received by Dr. Paul Knapman (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London).

St James’s Palace

The Duke of Kent, Deputy Colonel-in-Chief, The Royal Scots Dragoon Guards (Carabiniers and Greys), this evening attended the Annual Officers’ Regimental Dinner at the Cavalry and Guards Club, 127 Piccadilly, London W1.
