Buckingham Palace

His Excellency Mr Genaro Vicente Pappalardo Ayala was received in audience by The Queen today and presented the Letters of Recall of his predecessor and his own Letters of Credence as Ambassador from the Republic of Paraguay to the Court of St James’s.

Mrs de Pappalardo was also received by Her Majesty.

His Excellency Mr Said Tayeb Jawad was received in audience by The Queen and presented the Letters of Recall of his predecessor and his own Letters of Credence as Ambassador from the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan to the Court of St James’s.

Mrs Jawad was also received by Her Majesty.

Sir Simon McDonald (Permanent Under-Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs) was present.

The Queen, Colonel-in-Chief, The Royal Welsh, received Lieutenant-Colonel Paul Clayton upon relinquishing his appointment as Commanding Officer 1st Battalion and Lieutenant-Colonel Owain Luke upon assuming the appointment.

The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh were present at the Funeral of the Countess Mountbatten of Burma, which was held at St Paul’s Church, Knightsbridge, London SW1, this afternoon.

The Queen was represented by the Earl of Courtown (Deputy Chief Whip, and Captain of the Yeomen of the Guard) at the Service of Thanksgiving for the Lord Lyell (formerly Lord-in-Waiting), which was held in St Margaret’s Church, Westminster Abbey, London SW1, today.

The Duke of Kent was represented by Brigadier Christopher Bell.

Mr Kenneth Olisa (Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London) called upon the Governor-General of Papua New Guinea (His Excellency the Hon Sir Robert Dadae) this morning at the Holiday Inn Hotel, Wrights Lane, London W8, and welcomed His Excellency on behalf of The Queen.

The Prince of Wales, President, the British Red Cross Society, this afternoon visited Grenfell Community Assistance Centre, Westway Sports Centre, Crowthorne Road, London W10, and was received by Lady Arnold (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London).

His Royal Highness was present at the Funeral of the Countess Mountbatten of Burma, which was held at St Paul’s Church, Knightsbridge, London SW1, this afternoon.

The Duke of York this morning visited Meridian Angel Primary School, Albany Road, Edmonton, London N18.

His Royal Highness, Patron, British Science Association, this afternoon launched the Great British Science Club at Buckingham Palace.

The Duke of York was present later at the Funeral of the Countess Mountbatten of Burma, which was held at St Paul’s Church, Knightsbridge, London SW1.

His Royal Highness afterwards received Mr Charles Curran (Chairman of Trustees, St Vincent’s Curran Foundation) at Buckingham Palace.

The Duke of York this evening attended a Financial Services Dinner at Schroders plc, Gresham Street, London EC2.

The Earl of Wessex, Trustee, The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, this morning visited Brechin Community Campus, Duke Street, Brechin, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Angus (Mrs James Osborne)

His Royal Highness subsequently visited William Lamb Studio, 24 Market Street, Montrose, Angus.

The Earl of Wessex this afternoon attended a Service in Dunkeld Cathedral to commemorate the Four Hundred and Fiftieth Anniversary of the founding of the Royal School of Dunkeld, followed by a Garden Party at the School, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Perth and Kinross (Brigadier Melville Jameson).

His Royal Highness afterwards visited Willowgate Activity Centre, Stockgreen Lodge, Lairwell, Perth.

The Earl of Wessex later visited Perth Theatre, 185 High Street, Perth.

His Royal Highness this evening attended a Dinner held by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Perth and Kinross in Blairgowrie, Perthshire.

The Countess of Wessex, Patron, Stoll, this afternoon held a Lunch.

The Countess of Wessex, also representing The Earl of Wessex, was present at the Funeral of the Countess Mountbatten of Burma, which was held at St Paul’s Church, Knightsbridge, London SW1, this afternoon.

Her Royal Highness, Patron, Central School of Ballet, this evening held a Dinner.

The Princess Royal, Chairman, International Olympic Committee Members Election Commission, this morning held a Meeting.

Her Royal Highness and Vice-Admiral Sir Tim Laurence were present at the Funeral of the Countess Mountbatten of Burma, which was held at St Paul’s Church, Knightsbridge, London SW1, this afternoon.

The Princess Royal, Second Warden, the Fishmongers’ Company, accompanied by Vice-Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, this evening attended the Succession Dinner at Fishmongers’ Hall, London Bridge, London EC4.

Kensington Palace

The Duke of Gloucester this morning visited the United Kingdom Pavilion at Astana Expo 2017, Astana, Kazakhstan, and was received by Her Majesty’s Ambassador to the Republic of Kazakhstan (Her Excellency Dr Carolyn Browne).

His Royal Highness afterwards addressed the Smart Cities Event at the United Kingdom Pavilion at Astana Expo 2017.

The Duke of Gloucester later attended a Briefing for Kazakh alumni who studied in the United Kingdom given by Her Majesty’s Ambassador to the Republic of Kazakhstan at the Residence in Astana.

His Royal Highness today attended a Business Lunch at Café Star, Dostyk Avenue, Astana.

The Duke of Gloucester this afternoon arrived at Heathrow Airport, London, from Kazakhstan.

Lieutenant-Colonel Alastair Todd was in attendance.
