The Prince Charles, Duke of Rothesay, this evening held a Reception and later held a Dinner at Dumfries House for Boswell Book Festival.
The Princess Royal, accompanied by Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, today attended a Service at Port Ellen War Memorial, Isle of Islay, marking the Centenary of the loss of SS Tuscania and HMS Otranto followed by a Reception at Ramsay Hall, Port Ellen, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Argyll and Bute (Mr Patrick Stewart).
Her Royal Highness, accompanied by Admiral Laurence, this afternoon visited the Commonwealth War Graves at Kilnaughton Cemetery, Kildalton and Oa, Isle of Islay.
The Princess Royal, accompanied by Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, later visited the American Monument, Mull of Oa, Isle of Islay.
Her Royal Highness, Patron, First World War Centenary Woods Project, afterwards dedicated the wood at Dunlossit Estate, Ballygrant, Isle of Islay, and was received by Dr. Grace Gibson (Deputy Lieutenant of Argyll and Bute).
