COURT CIRCULAR

Buckingham Palace

Her Excellency the Hon Titilupe Fanetupouvava’u Tu’ivakan was received in audience by The Queen today and presented the Letters of Recall of her predecessor and her own Letters of Commission as High Commissioner for the Kingdom of Tonga in London.

Mr Siaosi Kiu Kaho was also received by Her Majesty.

His Excellency Colonel Christian Katsande was received in audience by The Queen and presented the Letters of Recall of his predecessor and his own Letters of Credence as Ambassador from the Republic of Zimbabwe to the Court of St James’s.

Sir Simon McDonald (Permanent Under-Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs) was present.

The Queen, Colonel-in-Chief, Canadian Forces Military Engineering Branch, this afternoon received Brigadier Stephen Irwin (Colonel Commandant) and Chief Warrant Officer Glenn Simpkin.

The Queen held a Council at 5.30pm.

There were present: the Rt Hon Andrea Leadsom MP (Lord President), the Rt Hon Karen Bradley MP (Secretary of State for Northern Ireland), the Rt Hon Alun Cairns MP (Secretary of State for Wales) and the Rt Hon Esther McVey MP (Secretary of State for Work and Pensions).

The Baroness Chakrabarti made affirmation as a member of Her Majesty’s Most Honourable Privy Council.

Mr Richard Tilbrook was in attendance as Clerk of the Council.

The Rt Hon. Andrea Leadsom MP had an audience of The Queen before the Council.

The Rt Hon Theresa May MP (Prime Minister and First Lord of the Treasury) had an audience of Her Majesty this evening.

The Queen was represented by The Duchess of Cornwall at the Memorial Service for Mrs Anne Wyndham which was held in Chelsea Old Church, Old Church Street, London SW3, this afternoon.

Princess Alexandra, the Hon Lady Ogilvy was represented by Mrs Peter Afia.

The Prince of Wales, President, The Prince’s Foundation, this morning attended The Prince’s School of Traditional Arts’ Annual Degree Show, Charlotte Road, London EC2.

His Royal Highness, Patron, Teach First, afterwards held a Meeting.

The Prince of Wales, Colonel-in-Chief, The Royal Gurkha Rifles, this afternoon received Lieutenant Colonel David Pack upon assuming his appointment as Commanding Officer 1st Battalion and Lieutenant Colonel Christopher Conroy upon assuming his appointment as Commanding Officer 2nd Battalion.

His Royal Highness received General Mark Carleton-Smith (Chief of the General Staff).

The Prince of Wales, President, The Prince’s Trust Group, this evening held a Reception for Ambassadors of The Prince’s Trust at St James’s Palace.

The Duchess of Cornwall, Patron, the Royal Society of Literature, this evening attended a Reception to celebrate the Society’s “40 New Fellows Under 40” at the British Library, Euston Road, London NW1, and was received by Ms Roxane Zand (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London).

Kensington Palace

The Duke of Cambridge today carried out the following engagements in Israel and the Occupied Palestinian Territories.

His Royal Highness this morning visited a coffee kiosk on Rothschild Boulevard, Tel Aviv-Jaffa.

The Duke of Cambridge afterwards viewed Israeli technology demonstrations at Beit Ha’ir Museum, 27 Bialik Street, Tel Aviv-Jaffa.

His Royal Highness subsequently attended an Israeli Civil Society Reception at Beit Ha’ir Museum.

The Duke of Cambridge was later received by The Palestinian President at the Presidency, Al Isral Street, Ramallah.

His Royal Highness this afternoon visited Jalazone Health Clinic, Jalazone Refugee Camp, North Ramallah.

The Duke of Cambridge subsequently visited Jalazone Girls’ School, Jalazone Refugee Camp.

His Royal Highness afterwards attended a Cultural Festival at the Ramallah Municipality City Hall, Issa Ziadeh Street, Ramallah.

The Duke of Cambridge this evening attended a Reception given by Her Majesty’s Consul-General for Jerusalem (Mr Philip Hall) at the British Consulate, 15 Ragheb Nashashibi Street, Sheikh Jarrah, Jerusalem.

The Duke of York, Grand Master, Honourable Company of Air Pilots, this afternoon received Captain Christopher Spurrier upon relinquishing his appointment as Master and Captain Colin Cox upon assuming the appointment.

Her Royal Highness, Patron, Defence Medical Welfare Service, this evening attended a Dinner at Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, Haig Road, Camberley, and was received by Mr Christopher Khoo (Deputy Lieutenant of the Royal County of Berkshire).

The Princess Royal, Patron, the National Association of Citizens Advice Bureaux, this morning received Sir David Varney upon relinquishing his appointment as Chairman.

Mrs Gillian Guy (Chief Executive) was present.

Her Royal Highness, Patron, the Wooden Spoon Society, received Mr John Gibson upon relinquishing his appointment as Chairman and Mr Quentin Smith upon assuming the appointment.

The Princess Royal, Patron, the Wooden Spoon Society, this afternoon attended a Thirty Fifth Anniversary Reception, the Corporation of Trinity House, Trinity Square, London EC3.

Her Royal Highness, Master, the Corporation of Trinity House, later attended the International Harbour Masters Association Congress at the Lancaster Hotel, Lancaster Terrace, London W2, and was received by Mr Leslie Morgan (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London).

The Princess Royal, Royal Fellow, the Royal Academy of Engineering, this evening attended an Awards Dinner at HM Tower of London, London EC3.
