Buckingham Palace

The Queen, Patron, this morning opened the new Wing of the Royal Air Force Club, 128 Piccadilly, London W1, to mark its Centenary and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London (Sir Kenneth Olisa), the President (Air Marshal Sir David Walker) and Air Vice-Marshal Susan Gray (Chairman).

The Queen viewed the newly built Fitness and Business Suites and a new stained-glass window commemorating Women in the Royal Air Force.

Her Majesty viewed a portrait commissioned to celebrate One Hundred Years of the Royal Air Force Club and met members of staff.

The Princess Royal, on behalf of The Queen, held an Investiture at Buckingham Palace this morning.

Ms Ruth Bell (Deputy Lieutenant of Bedfordshire) was present at Luton Airport this afternoon upon the Arrival of The President of the Republic of Bulgaria and Mrs Radeva and welcomed His Excellency and Mrs Radeva on behalf of The Queen.

The Duchess of Cornwall, President, Barnardo’s, this morning received Mr Anthony Cohen upon relinquishing his appointment as Chairman of the Board of Trustees and Mrs Wendy Becker upon assuming the appointment.

Her Royal Highness, Vice Patron, this evening attended a Reception to mark the One Hundred and Fiftieth Anniversary of the Royal Commonwealth Society at Lancaster House, London SW1.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge this afternoon gave a Reception at Kensington Palace for the finalists of BBC Radio One’s Teen Hero Awards.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex this morning visited Dubbo Royal Flying Doctor Base Visitor Education Centre, Coorena Road, Dubbo, New South Wales, Australia.

Their Royal Highnesses later visited Mountain View Farm, Dubbo.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex this afternoon attended a Community Picnic at Victoria Park, Dubbo.

Their Royal Highnesses later met students from Dubbo College Senior Campus, Tony McGrane Place, Dubbo.

His Royal Highness, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Foundation, this afternoon visited Jesmond Dene Real Tennis Club, Matthew Bank, Newcastle upon Tyne, as part of His Royal Highness’s The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Real Tennis Tour, and was received by Her Majesty’s
Lord-Lieutenant of Tyne and Wear (Mrs Susan Winfield).

The Earl of Wessex, Trustee, The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, this evening attended a Dinner at Blagdon Hall, Seaton Burn, Newcastle upon Tyne.

The Countess of Wessex this afternoon attended The Countess of Wessex Cup between Royal Air Force Wittering, 5th Battalion The Rifles, Queen Alexandra’s Royal Army Nursing Corps, The Lincoln and Welland Regiment and Corps of Army Music, of which Her Royal Highness is Honorary Air Commodore, Royal Colonel, Colonel-in-Chief, Colonel-in-Chief and Colonel-in-Chief respectively, and HMS Daring, at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, Camberley, Surrey.

Her Royal Highness, Patron, Rochester Cathedral Trust, this evening attended a Dinner at Rochester Cathedral and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Kent (the Viscount De L’Isle).

Her Royal Highness, President, UK Fashion and Textile Association Limited, later visited Gosha London Limited, 52 Park Royal Business Centre, 9-17 Park Royal Road, London NW10, and was received by Mr Richard Kornicki (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London).

The Princess Royal, Patron, Acid Survivors Trust International, this evening held a Reception at Buckingham Palace.

The Duke of Gloucester, Patron, Habitat for Humanity Great Britain, today visited Habitat for Humanity Thailand, Bo Ploy, Thailand.

His Royal Highness, Colonel-in-Chief, The Royal Anglian Regiment, this afternoon attended a Ceremony at Chung Kai Cemetery, Kanachanaburi, for the Soldiers who died in the Second World War.

The Duke of Gloucester later visited the River Kwai Bridge, Kanchanaburi.

His Royal Highness afterwards visited the Thailand-Burma Railway Centre, Chao Khun Nen Road, Ban Nuea, Amphoe Mueang, Kanchanaburi.

The Duke of Gloucester, Royal Patron, the National Far East Prisoners of War Fellowship Welfare Remembrance Association, this evening attended a Ceremony at Kanchanaburi War Cemetery to mark the Seventy Fifth Anniversary of the Completion of the
Thai-Burma Railway.

St James’s Palace

The Duke of Kent, President, Royal National Lifeboat Institution, this morning visited Alderney Lifeboat Station, Braye Harbour, and was received by the President of the States of Alderney (Mr Stuart Trought).

His Royal Highness this afternoon visited St James Concert and Assembly Hall, College Street, and was received by the Lieutenant-Governor and Commander-in-Chief of the Bailiwick of Guernsey (Vice Admiral Sir Ian Corder).
