Windsor Castle
His Excellency Mr Sturla Sigurjónsson was received in audience by The Queen today via video link and presented the Letters of Recall of his predecessor and his own Letters of Credence as Ambassador from Iceland to the Court of St James’s.
Mrs Elín Jónsdóttir was also received by Her Majesty.
His Excellency Dr Zalmai Rassoul was received in audience by The Queen via video link and presented the Letters of Recall of his predecessor and his own Letters of Credence as Ambassador from the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan to the Court of St James’s.
Sir Philip Barton (Permanent Under-Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs) was present.

The Princess Royal, Colonel-in-Chief, The Royal Corps of Signals, this morning visited 13th Signal Regiment, Blandford Camp, Blandford Forum, Dorset, on the occasion of the First Anniversary of its formation.
Appendix to Court Circular
The Queen has been pleased to appoint the Reverend Canon Dr Chigor Chike to be a Chaplain to Her Majesty in succession to the Reverend Canon John Rees.
