The Queen was represented by the Very Reverend Professor David Fergusson (Dean of the Chapel Royal in Scotland) at the Funeral of the Reverend George Cowie (Chaplain to The Queen in Scotland) which was held in New Kilpatrick Church, Bearsden, Glasgow, today.

The Duke of Cambridge, Joint Patron, the Royal Foundation of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, this afternoon held a Meeting of the Earthshot Prize.

The Countess of Wessex today undertook engagements in Doha, Qatar.

Her Royal Highness, Global Ambassador, International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness, this morning visited Qatar Fund for Development, Laffan Tower.

The Countess of Wessex, Global Ambassador, International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness, afterwards called upon Dr Hanan Al Kuwari (Minister of Public Health).

Her Royal Highness, Global Ambassador, International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness, later called upon Sheikha Hind bint Hamad Al Thani (Vice-Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Qatar Foundation).

The Countess of Wessex this afternoon called upon Lolwah Rashid Mohammed Al-Khater (Assistant Foreign Minister and Spokesperson, Ministry of Foreign Affairs) at Park View Villas and met women who had recently left Afghanistan.

Her Royal Highness this evening attended a Women in Leadership Dinner at Qalamkarri, Banyan Tree Doha.

The Countess of Wessex today undertook engagements in Doha, Qatar.

Her Royal Highness, Global Ambassador, International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness, this morning called upon His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani (Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs).

The Countess of Wessex, Global Ambassador, International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness, later visited Qatar Charity, Energy City, Lusail.

Her Royal Highness, Global Ambassador, International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness, this afternoon visited the National Museum of Qatar, Museum Park Street.

The Countess of Wessex afterwards planted a tree at the British Embassy to commemorate The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.

The Princess Royal, President, Riding for the Disabled Association, this morning received Ms Rachel Medill (Chairman).

Her Royal Highness, Patron, Opportunity International United Kingdom, received Mr Samuel Bickersteth upon relinquishing his appointment as Chief Executive Officer and Mr Edward Fox upon assuming the appointment.

The Countess of Wessex this morning departed from Heathrow Airport, London, for Qatar and was received this evening upon arrival at Hamad International Airport, Doha, by Her Majesty’s Ambassador to the State of Qatar (His Excellency Mr Jonathan Wilks).

Today being the Feast of the Epiphany, Choral Matins was held in The Queen’s Chapel, St James’s Palace, when the customary offerings of Gold, Frankincense and Myrrh were made on behalf of The Queen by Lieutenant Colonel Sir Alexander Matheson of Matheson, Bt and Captain David Lilley, RN (Gentlemen Ushers to Her Majesty).

The Bishop of London (Dean of Her Majesty’s Chapels Royal) was the Celebrant and presented the Offerings, assisted by the Reverend Canon Paul Wright (Sub-Dean of Her Majesty’s Chapels Royal) and the Reverend Richard Bolton and the Reverend William Whitcombe (Priests in Ordinary).

The Queen’s Body Guard of the Yeomen of the Guard was on duty in the Chapel.

The Princess Royal, Honorary President, and Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence this afternoon attended the Oxford Farming Conference via video link.
